Broadband News. A Michigan company, Midwest Energy & Communications has been awarded a grant to provide some areas of Grass Lake Township with broadband services. It is our understanding the grants were provided with specific areas of where the cable will be run by MEC. It is possible that other areas that are not covered by them could have been awarded to other companies or the area did not receive funding. At minimum, it is a start.
